Quick Start Guide

Welcome to the new Universal Components website. This guide will get you signed in and placing orders in just a few minutes. For a detailed walk-through of every feature, see the Full User Guide.

Before you start: is your email address up to date? The new website sends sign-in codes to your email. If the email on your UC account is out of date or you no longer have access to it, email web.support@ucukltd.com with your name, UC account number, your old email address, and your new email address, and we'll update it for you. Alternatively, you can simply register a new account using your new email address — your old account will be disabled automatically after a period of inactivity. Either way, make sure your email is sorted first — you won't be able to sign in until it's correct.

Sign In: 3 Steps

No username, no password. Just your email address.

Enter your email Go to the sign-in page and type the email address registered to your UC account.

Check your inbox We'll send you an email with a 6-digit code and a clickable sign-in link.

Enter the code — you're in Type the 6-digit code on screen, or click the link in the email. Either way, you'll be signed in immediately.

Codes expire after 5 minutes — click Resend code if you need a new one.

Find Parts Fast

Use the search bar at the top of any page to search by part number, cross-reference, or keyword. Results appear as you type. On the full results page, use the filter panel on the left to narrow results by category, brand, vehicle, stock availability, and more. You can also browse the full catalogue by Category or Brand from the navigation menu.

Place an Order

  1. Find a product and click Add to Order
  2. Go to My Order in the header to review your cart
  3. Click Proceed to Checkout
  4. Choose your delivery method, enter your PO number, and click Place Order

Orders are invoiced to your UC trade account — no card payment is needed. You'll receive a confirmation email straight away.

The cart also has tools for Quick Add (add by part number), Upload Order (bulk add from a CSV/Excel file), Load / Save Orders (reuse previous orders), and Latest Purchases (re-order from history).

Your Account

Click My Account in the header to access your account dashboard. From there you can view recent orders and track deliveries, download invoices and credit notes, manage your favourites, submit warranty claims, request collections, and more. Everything from the last 90 days is available at a glance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my username?

There isn't one. The new website uses your email address as your login. Just enter your email on the sign-in page and we'll send you a code.

Why don't I have a password?

We use secure sign-in codes instead of passwords. It's simpler (nothing to remember or reset) and more secure (each code is unique, single-use, and expires after 5 minutes).

The email address on my account is out of date — what do I do?

Email web.support@ucukltd.com with your name, UC account number, your old email address, and your new email address, and we'll update it for you. Alternatively, you can simply register a new account using your new email address — your old account will be disabled automatically after a period of inactivity. This is the most important step if you haven't updated your details in a while — you won't be able to sign in until the email address is correct.

I no longer have access to the email address on my account

Same solution: email web.support@ucukltd.com with your name, UC account number, your old email address, and your new email address to get it updated. Or simply register a new account with your new email — the old one will be disabled automatically after a period of inactivity.

I didn't receive a code

A few things to check:

My code expired

Codes are valid for 5 minutes. If yours has expired, simply click Resend code on the sign-in page to receive a new one. You can request a new code every 30 seconds.

I used to share a login with colleagues — can I still do that?

Each person now needs their own individual work email address and their own registration. This keeps everyone's orders, basket, and history separate, and means we can support each person individually. If two people sign in with the same email, one will be logged out automatically. Shared or department email addresses won't work properly.

I keep getting logged out

The most likely cause is that someone else is signing in with the same email address. When another person signs in on a different computer, you'll be logged out automatically. Each person needs their own individual email address — sharing an account means you'll keep interrupting each other's sessions. Make sure everyone in your business who uses the website has their own personal work email registered.

I've registered but can't sign in yet

After you confirm your email address, your registration is reviewed. You'll receive an email when your account is ready. If it's been more than a working day, contact web.support@ucukltd.com to check the status.

Can anyone register?

No. You need a valid UC trade account number to register on the website. If you're not sure whether your company has an account, contact your UC sales representative.

How do I track my order?

Go to My AccountRecent Orders. Find your order in the list and click the expand arrow to see line-level detail and delivery tracking information.
